Our History

Sieg’s Manufacturing Ltd. is a family owned and operated metal spinning business that has always cared about making metal parts with quality craftsmanship. Before the 1950s, our founder Siegfried (Sieg) honed his metal spinning and metal working craft from his time in Germany.

By the time the 1950s came around, he and his wife, Gisela, had immigrated to Canada. There, Sieg was given the opportunity to start his own business in Delta, BC. Over time, he taught his eldest son Gerry how to spin metal. The two then turned their business into the leader of the metal spinning industry in Canada and the United States.

  • 1970 - Sieg bought two hand spinning lathes and crafted metal products at home after his day job.
  • 1972 - We were incorporated in Delta, BC.
  • 1972 - We acquired a 22-ton punch press to punch holes for our products’ designs.
  • 1973 - We created our first shop in Langley, BC, and bought our first automatic template metal spinning machine to improve our production.
  • 1981 - We added two DENN automatics to our machine fleet so we could produce galvanized and regular steel products.
  • 1996 - We moved into the 20,000 square foot shop we are in now.
  • 1997 - We added a 44-ton punch press to automatically cut circles for our products that go up to 14”diameter.
  • 2000 - We added the Giotto-400 spinning lathe from Nova Sidera to produce parts up to 39”.
  • 2014 - We retrofitted two DENN 390 automatic spinning lathes with new computers and hydraulics to improve their service.
  • 2018 - Sieg retires, his eldest son Gerry takes over ownership.
